Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea contacted us to provide a design and cost for their new information unit. We designed this triple expandable unit which was based on an Iveco Eurocargo 7,500 kg unit. This could be driven on a pre 1997 car licence and was ideal for them to operate themselves.

It featured a large hydraulic slide-out on the offside and a folding floor and canopy on the nearside with a hydraulic rear moulding at the rear with hinge-up steps and electrical under-chassis disabled lift.

Inside was fold down desking and a screen as well as a small kitchen which contained the generator and a fridge.
The unit was mainly used as an information point as well as for a polling booth and election information. It was also hired out by the borough to the NHS as an outreach service together with their driver.
