Another addition to our list of medical creations is this 5,500 Kg hydraulic expandable Neat Displayflex 8.5 metre Body Scanner Unit recently built for My Vital Metrics. It features a Dexa Discovery Full Body Scanner and is used for giving athletes and sports teams the vital statistics they need for their fitness training scanning for body fat, muscle balance, bone density and other vital stats for todays modern athletes. The vehicle is based on a Fiat Ducato with Alko chassis and has been built to give the requirements for the scanner unit and provide a comfortable environment for those on board. It features air suspension, hydraulic auto levelling stabiliser legs, split system air conditioning, a one man hydraulic setup with the hydraulic expansion giving another 5 metres x 1.5 metres floor space. There are backlit colourchange LED graphic display panels and a 55″ LED screen to enhance the interior environment, which with the timber plank safety flooring and high gloss white wall and ceiling give an easy clean but not too clinical looking feel.. The fold out windows on the front have a frosted vinyl graphic to give privacy to clients but still let the daylight in when in use. The Scanner unit has been fitted with special rubber mountings to isolate it from the vibration during movement and it also features UPS and anti surge electronics to protect the scanner and computer system.
The vehicle has been very busy during its first few months of use, hosting the England Rugby Squad among some of the clients who have used the facilities in recent weeks. The main advantage of this is that the facility goes to the client rather than the client going to the facility.
