Helicopter Film Services Camera Car Transporter Trailer

As one of the few manufacturers of lightweight articulated trailers in the UK, we were asked to build this unusual trailer for Pursuit International to carry a camera car for filming on big screen productions. Due to the shape of the car, its weight and the restrictions in height on the trailer, it was a squeeze to get the vehicle in within the design. The camera car carries a large camera boom on its roof and the trailer had to be no more than 4 metres high due to it having to travel on the continent.

A hydraulic ramp and canopy were fitted to enable the car to be loaded and worked on while it was on the trailer. At the front of the trailer was a workshop and storage area to carry all the cameras and ballast.
