Farleigh Hospice based in Chelmsford, Essex have just launched their Neat Vehicles Hospice Outreach Project (HOP) Mobile Outreach Vehicle. This is for use in the community to give advice, support and care to people in the surrounding area. The 5,000 Kg Hydraulically expandable vehicle was launched by the Lord Lieutenant of Essex at their headquarters.
The vehicle has graphics and screens to enable the public to enter and seek advice on bereavement, illness or support for someone who is. Mobile advice centres or outreach vehicles are ideal for the purpose, they have a warm inviting interior, comfortable seating and a private area for one to one conversations. There is an onboard generator, fridge and air conditioning as well as a sink and coffee machine. The mobile outreach unit will be used with fully enclosed front or fully open front depending on situation. The graphic panels in the windows and on the display panels can be interchanged or removed if an unrestricted glazed area is required.
Farleigh have been operating a HOP vehicle for many years now but had to retire their old one due to damage and we are proud to supply them with a new one. One of the main advantages of the new mobile outreach vehicle over the old one is the lower floor height giving easier access, particularly useful for elderly or infirm people.
