The lightweight artic format was used to good effect to act as a mobile computer access facility to local companies and individuals in the East Midlands.
The Midlands Engineering Industries Redeployment Group (MEIRG) aimed to ensure that the Midlands can better retain and develop the well trained, skilled and motivated pool of engineering talent that currently exists within the region. It is a regional pilot for a concept that may eventually be promoted throughout the UK. At the heart of the MEIRG is a confidential web-based redeployment database using CWeb. Participating organisations will be able to display vacancies on the MEIRG site and view prospective candidates. People who are looking for new job opportunities in the manufacturing engineering sector will be able to register their details and receive access to the Vacancy Section, through which they can apply for any suitable vacancies.
This lightweight artic featured multiple computer access and welfare facilities together with a one to one meeting area and broadband satellite utilising a 1200mm self seeking satellite dish mounted on the roof.
It has a single expandable hydraulic pod extension and a bright and modern interior with air conditioning, generator and server with LAN facility.
