Neat Vehicles has just finished a mobile clinic for Royal Surrey NHS with a single hydraulic canopy and full clinic fit-out. The hydraulic canopy is deployed electrically when mains power is plugged in, either to a portable generator or to mains electrics with push-button control. The unit has double doors, a large frosted window for privacy but still enables a light airy interior and two roof lights for ventilation. There is a curtain room divider, lower and upper storage cabinets, a full-size fridge and a sink with hot and cold running water for handwashing on the offside of the clinic. On the nearside are a storage cabinet with a sharps bin and a waste bin in the clinic area. There is space for a reclining treatment chair within the rear clinic for treating patients. LED lighting throughout, including externally under the hydraulic canopy, gives good lighting without needing much power. Across the front of the clinic in the office area is another full-size medical workbench with storage, a desk, and upper storage cabinets. All safety flooring is installed with curved corners to enable easy cleaning. Externally the solid canopy can be deployed in all weathers and allows treatment to be given outside if necessary, the wide steps, handrails and entrance doors give good access and the portable disabled ramp allows wheelchair users to access the vehicle.
